Lately, we have tried some new things to keep our name afloat in the community. Recently Suzanne (Owner) and Teresa (General Manager) visited the set of The Morning Blend. They gave great information about the company and had a lot of fun. Teresa modeled the vacuum while Suzanne talked about her company. If you follow the link below, you can watch the episode that presents our company.

"I've been with you for many years. You are easy to talk to and work with. You're accommodating when I need to change something. Your team is friendly. Very thorough also. I've had 2 other maid services in Tucson, back in the day. As long as I'm here, I intend to stay with The Maids forever! Great job, ladies."

The Maids Against Breast Cancer

This week we want to tell you about a wonderful event in our community. Its called Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. This organization is a branch of the American Cancer Society that works to raise money in the fight against breast cancer. Every year the group works around the country to raise money for the fight. The best part about this organization is that more than half of the money raised in our community stays here to help your sisters, mothers, grandmothers, and friends.

Making Strides organizes a 3-mile walk around the Campbell/River area. We all meet there before the walk for motivation, warm-ups, and mingling with other members/survivors of our community. The organization also has several contests and all are welcome to attend. Last years walk was a sea of green as the walkers set out. The people were great and the atmosphere was fun. It was a joy for all of us to participate in bettering our community.

We would like to ask anyone who is interested to join us. The walk is 3 miles, but don't let it scare you. There is so much going on, and there are so many wonderful people around that it certainly doesn't feel like a 3 mile walk. Last year, the gathering included a contest for men. The men were encouraged to dress in as much pink as possible to win. We walked next to a man who was kind enough to let us take his picture. He was clad in pink hair, a pink hat, pink sunglasses, a pink outfit, and pink striped knee socks. He told us that if he won the contest, he had to wear 9 inch pink heels for this year's walk. We sure hope he won!

If you would like to join our team or make a donation, please contact me (Brandi) at The Maids office. I will provide you with any information you might need. 795-7977 We really hope that you will join us.
